Braised Kale

1 lb. Kale
salt and pepper to taste
1/8 lb of ham

1. Wash the green well, remove any tough ribs, then cut into small pieces.
2. Cook the ham over low heat until golden brown. Meanwhile, drop the green into a large pot of boiling water and blanch them for about 10 minutes, remove and drain well.
3. Add the blanched, drained green to the ham and cook over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
4. Season with a little salt and pepper, if desired.
